I'm sure there are better details about this posted somewhere on here, but if you go to a place like giftcardzen you can discounted Target gift cards, often offered at about a 4 percent discount, which you can then use to buy discounted Disney gift cards. Stacking discounts you'll get about nine percent off. We did this a few years ago and saved nearly $1,000 (it was an expensive vacation).
You have to be on the ball and scoop up the Target cards when they drop.
Since your original question was answered, just offering another tip!
I believe Target stopped allowing Disney gift cards to be purchased with Target gift cards a while back. You can still purchase Disney gift cards with the Red card and get the 5% discount.
If you buy online from Sams Club, you can get about $19 off a $500 card after you pay $1 for shipping. My local sam club you can get a discount of like $7-8 when you buy $150
Ah, thanks, and sorry for spreading bad info.
good to know about doing it online, sounds about the same discount at in the store ( they have 3 $50 gift cards that you can get together) I normally go about a week before I go to Disney then use the gift cards to pay for my hotel balanceIf you buy online from Sams Club, you can get about $19 off a $500 card after you pay $1 for shipping.
Indeed cards don't expire, and there are no fees. Combining only works to a point though, each card has a limit of $1000 that it can carry, so if you combine two $500 cards together, that is all you can do. Meaning if you are saving up $6000 in cards, you can't put that all on one card, you would still need 3 cards to carry that much money on.
The difference is in store the biggest denomination I have seen is $150, 3 $50 cards. Online, you can buy a single $500 card. If you are going to buy $3000 in cards, that is a lot of cards at $50 each. Entering all those numbers to combine them would drive me crazy.good to know about doing it online, sounds about the same discount at in the store ( they have 3 $50 gift cards that you can get together) I normally go about a week before I go to Disney then use the gift cards to pay for my hotel balance
May not be at all stores, but my local Sam's now carries the discounted $500gc in store. I just purchased last week but I'm not sure when they added them. The difference is in store the biggest denomination I have seen is $150, 3 $50 cards. Online, you can buy a single $500 card. This is why I just hand them to the front dest CM and they run them like a CC, and since I do not have to pay ( only my deposit) until I check in I just do it at check in. works for me.The difference is in store the biggest denomination I have seen is $150, 3 $50 cards.
