Gift Cards - how to save money?

I have read many times on how people will buy Disney gift cards at target or other store and get a %. Or other ways to buy ahead with gift cards and save money??


I dont recall details. We will be in Orlando in September. We are from overseas but planning a shopping day before. Any advice on local stores, Target/ Walmart etc.. where we can buy gift cards cheaper than face value??

If you have a Target Redcard (debit or credit) you receive 5% off of your purchases at Target. Since Disney GCs are "entertainment" cards they are an eligible purchase. I have been purchasing them at Target online through a rebate website that gives an additional % off my total purchase.

In fact I just bought a card from Giftcards.com last night to buy a textbook from Barnes and Noble.
