Gift cards and hotel charges?

We will have about $1000 in Disney gift cards ... When we check in can we just give them the gift cards and not a cc to put on the room for charges?

No, you can't put them on your account in advance payment. You can use them to pay your bill once you rack up some charges, but not the other way around.

We were allowed to add $500 in Disney gift cards to our account upon check-in at Pop for our November 2012 stay. It created a negative balance on our account. Once that credit from the gift cards was used it started charging our credit card on file.

If I'm not mistaken the max you can add at a value is $500. So you may be only allowed to load one. If the cast member doesn't understand what you want to do just ask for a supervisor. That's what we did, and the supervisor knew exactly what we were talking about.
