I would love to buy the Disney gift cards for our Sept. trip but I booked everything w/AAA. What could I use the gift cards for, I really like the extra pump perks that my grocery store offers on gift cards. There's a possibility that we will add an extra park day so I could pay for that w/them when we get there & decide. Any other suggestions besides souvineers? We'll only be there for 4 days so we just want to cover the parks.
If you don't have free dining you can use them for your food. Extra drinks, snacks and table service tips if you do. The gift cards don't expire so if you don't use them, you can save them for a future trip. I find gift cards easier to part with than actual cash though so I tend to not buy more than I think I'll need.
A belated thought...have you asked AAA if you can use Disney gift cards toward payment of your package? When I went through AAA the charge on my Disney Rewards card was directly from Disney so you might be able to pay part of your package off with them. If you find out, post back. I'd be interested to know if they'd let you do that or not.
