how do you keep your gift cards safe?


I have read in the past about taking photos of them for safe keeping. we have all the GCs and activation receipts (except for one) together. I have taken the photos. Any other steps you take to keep them safe?

I charge everything to the room and keep them in the safe. I take them and pay our bill the day before we check out. They will charge your card anymore charges to the room.

I only get them in $50 increments and only bring with me what I think we'll need. The rest stay in the safe w/their receipts.

I also do take pics of the back as well.

We're foregoing DP and using target gift cards to pay for all food. Well as you already know target only sells 50 dollar cards. So we'll have a lot of them. When I was speaking to reservations they said that I could put the gift cards on the room upon check in. Is this true? cause then I wouldn't have to keep up with gift cards until check out and be royally mad when I can't find them. lol

I don't know if they'll let you put them in so that your balance is negative, but you can certainly pay the room charges with them.

We charge almost everything to the room and I just pay it off every few days to keep it from reaching the limit.

I was going to do this same thing. I've got a few hundred dollars worth and my plan was to take one to the park with me and then use it if we needed to, but on the way in apply it to our account if we have charges.

Yes this is true. We did it last November at AKL.
