Gift card issue at Target

Hi all. I wanted to update that I was able to use my gift cards today. The person at Target asked if anyone had resent the links to me and they had not. She resent them and they worked. Woo hoo! Thanks for all your support fellow DL lovers!

I figured I'd add on to this post just in case someone runs into the new issue I had with gift cards today. I ordered a $500 gift card in one order, then did two separate ordered for $200 each card. I use these to get my Target circle bonus when they come out. I needed to do one more order over $120 so I tried for another $200 gift card. Order goes through and then is cancelled, try again and cancelled. I ended up on a chat that took 50 minutes only to be told they have limits on the amount of gift cards you can buy in one day. They never specified if it's a monetary amount or the gift card count. They just kept saying this has always been their policy even though I have bought way more gift cards in one day before.

Just wanted to give a heads up in case it happens to anyone else.

Thank you for the update. I wonder if it has anything to do with scammers telling people to buy giftcards and getting the numbers. It might be easier to have that rule apply to all gift cards.

The same thing happened at Sam's Club. I wanted to purchase $5,000 in Disney gift cards to pay off the full balance of our trip (so 10 x $500) a few weeks ago. We've purchased $2,000 or maybe a little more in the past and it was never an issue. They've since changed their policies to only allow $1,000 per account per day, even if you are paying in cash. Frustrating, but I guess there are a lot of scams out there.
