Gift card for tips?

I was thinking of getting a Disney Gift Card and using it for just for tips. Can I do this?

Yup, no problem. The server will drop off the check, which has an area for you to write in the tip. Write in what you want. Put the gift card, as well as your room card in the black book. When the server returns, just inform them to charge the tip to the gift card. Its as easy as that.

That is interesting, I did not realize that was possible. You are referring to a Disney Gift Card right? Like the kind I could pick up at the Disney Store?

I called Disney Dining and was told gift card can be used.

We did this last time - it was very easy. In fact, we did a lot of gift cards, but we had one dedicated one for tips.

Fantastic- I plan to do this for our trip in September. Much easier than carrying around cash and in my mind I can have it 'prepaid'.

Great idea! I can buy gift cards through my dd's jumprope team & Disney is on there!!! Then the team makes it little $ too!

i think you can also put the tips on your room card and then pay the balance with your gift card at checkout instead of having them charge it to your credit card-at least that's what i am going to try to do instead of carrying the gift card along with my room card. i have too much money on my dis rewards card and gift cards to be carrying them around and risk loosing!

I purchased disney dollars for tips - I figure they are easy for me to set aside and not spend before hand and I would think the CM can easily exchange it out of the register. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
