Gift card for gratuities

I am sure that this has been asked but I can't seem to find the answer:

I am trying to stay within budget and am thinking of using a gift card during my WDW visit next month.

We will be on the dining plan but can I use a prepaid gift card for gratuities?

I am trying not to use a credit card this trip as it will be too tempting to purchase so many other things!!

I did it in August when I was there. They were fine with it.
