Does anyone know if they are still giving a Disney gift card for doing a DVC tour? Haven't heard much lately and will be there this week.

You might want to ask this in the DVC board, but the last I heard (a couple weeks ago), they were offering but it was down to either $100 or $150. This was WDW only. I don't believe they are offering anything for DL tours.

It could abruptly end at any time, as unlike most of their offers, it’s not a published promise. But they were in the last 10 days.

I’d suggest you call DVC using the DVC button on the room phone when you get there and ask.

My sister did a tour while we were there a couple of weeks ago, and it had gone down to $100… but she did get the gift card

We stayed at AKL for a couple nights last week and did the tour on Friday afternoon. 3 adults, 2 of us live in same household. We received $100 each - so $300 total. (It was max $200 per household)
I have heard of you are staying at value/moderate it is $50.

(not buying, just wanted the GC - it took so long I had the GC before we were even done)

Are these gift cards just for non-members?

We stayed at AKV a few weeks ago and got a message a few days before asking if we'd like to attend a 30-minute presentation at SSR in exchange for a gift. I called back to ask for more info and also asked if the gift was a gift card. They said it'd likely be a hat or string backpack. We politely declined... I probably wouldn't even have wasted 2-3 hours of my day driving around and sitting though that for a gift card, but definitely not for a baseball cap... I already have 8 of those at home from a recent cruise and Aulani sales tour...

Current members are not eligible for the gift card. The member update presentation gift has been a cheap backpack most recently.

Just did one today. Staying at SSR so it was super easy to go to their center while our room is getting ready. Got $100 each for my wife and myself. Was in my inbox in less than half an hour.
Most important question: is the ice cream station reopened at the preview center?

I got the $100 AND the cheap backpack 🤣🤣 Not that we wanted it … but took it so as not be rude and decline.

I completely forgot about it. Towards the end we were saying we got enough info and wanted to think about it, they went “but wait, I have something else for you” got me excited thinking we might get some extra info or anything else, then immediately deflated when I saw the bag.

We stayed at Pop and did the tour. We received $50 each shortly after the tour.

I am still beyond confused as to whether to sign up or not. They didn't send me much information at all.

You need to do more research. Watch a LOT of youtube videos about it and figure out if it makes sense for your family’s long term goals. Once you’re done doing research, then go and do some more. It will likely take at least a couple months minimum to truly understand the product, the pros and cons and etc. If you’re not willing to take the time to learn it then DVC probably isn’t for you. Only you know your family’s finances, travel habits and plans for the future enough to make that decision.
