Gift Baskets

My teacher friend and I are looking into starting a gift basket business, mainly through Ebay and a website. She is extremely creative and I have the business mind, but I just don't know where to begin. Has anyone ever tried this? I would love to ship to Disney, but I'm not sure how I would go about having them unpack the basket from the box, etc.

I would love to make some extra money for my next Disney vacation, you know...the one next year that I haven't paid for yet...

I owned a gift basket business for a little while.

It would have been more successful if I had more time to devote to it. One thing I can tell you is gift baskets don't sell well on Ebay or at Craft shows. You really want to target businesses who give baskets as gifts to employees, suppliers, customers, etc.

Do a google search for "Cherie Reagor" who is an industry leader in gift basket marketing. She also has a line of videos out that shows you the no fail way to package and ship a gift basket so it arrives in one piece.
