I know that Disney will set up a gift basket in the room but the prices are very high. I had a Diser do one 2 years ago but can't remember her name. Does anyone else remember who it could be? I think we need a Star Wars basket set up for the best kids in the world.;)

Hi! I am the one you probably were referring to. I did gift baskets a couple of years ago. I am not doing them at this time.

No one, including the Disney Florist, can guarantee your gift basket will be in your room when you arrive. That is just not how it is done. All gift baskets, flowers, etc. are delivered to the front desk of the resort. It is up to the resort to get the delivery to the room or give it to the guest at check in. It all depends on how busy the resort is on how they will get it to you.

I would like to recommend Pat at Gifts of a Lifetime. She does beautiful work.

I'm wondering if I were to ship something to sarah or pat, would they be able to insert it into the basket? (Special gift, card, etc.)

AFAIK, disney florist does have direct access to the room. the issue here though is it can't be done prior to check-in as the room, pre-assigned or not, is always subject to be changed.

as to whether something else does get delivered to the room when it arrives after check-in, it is at the resort's discretion and i wouldn't necessarily count on it. i was more than surprised (and pleasantly so) when an amazon.com delivery i had made on site (sometimes that prime membership has a benefit) was brought directly to my room and waiting for me when i returned from the parks at CBR.

YES!! Hi there! I am disappointed. I will check out Pat I guess. Thanks.

The Disney Florist also delivers to the front desk of the resort. Only the resort runners take things to the rooms. You are right in that it depends on whether the room was pre-assigned and how busy it is for the resort staff. Any delivery can end up in your room depending on the timing. During my hundreds of deliveries, I often saw deliveries from the Disney Florist waiting behind the front desk of the resort waiting for delivery just like my deliveries.

EmptyCinema, I'm sure both Sarah and Pat would be happy to add something you send to a basket. They are both very nice ladies.

If you make special arrangements with the Disney Florist which involves a member of your party meeting them at your resort room, they can decorate your room. They just don't let the regular delivery people have access to the resort rooms. The same is true of Gifts of a Lifetime. They will be happy to decorate a resort room, but you must make arrangements with them to allow access to your room. The front desk will not give a key to a guest room to anyone other than the guest or their own resort runner.
