Hey everyone...

I am in the process of making up a few gift baskets for my parents, sister and brother and I wanted some suggestions. Can anyone give me some input on what I should include? My parents are celebrating an anniversary, my sister will be celebrating a birthday (she's 20 and has Downs syndrome) and my brother is 17.

Thanks!!!!

I'll give you some ideas I'm using. I'm setting a basket out for my son for each day of our trip, based upon what park we will be visiting.

Arrival:

Pal Mickey (with a note that says "I've been waiting for you!", autograph book, pen, mouse ears hat, guest of honor badge, Mickey Mouse cookies

AK day:

Simba, Disney animal crackers, binoculars

MGM day:

Star Wars stuff (He's so excited about this Star Tours ride)

MK (family magic tour day):

Peter Pan PJ's
Captain Hook and Peter Pan figures

For your parents, maybe Disney chocolates, name badges and perhaps a fanny pack (they make Disney ones), and a photo album specifically for their Disney trip photos

Hope these help get your creative juices flowing!

Let me know if I can help in any other way!

Have fun!

How about adding some matching t-shirts or hats to those baskets. Do you have a way to communicate with one another? See if you can find some inexpensive 2 ways and include them- they'll have fun with those for many many months. You could add Hidden Mickey Treasure Hunts and of course DD's. Don't forget the glow in the dark necklaces for the evening parade- everyone loves those and maybe put a disposable camera in for their own special pics. For your parents anniversary- how about a nice frame commemorating their anniversary at WDW- or a certificate for dinner somewhere. Your 17 year old brother...... can you fit a really cute girl in one of those baskets?!?!?? ;) WEll- if you can't , how about a ticket to DisneyQuest or a roll of quarters for arcades at the hotel? teenage boys LOVE food- so his bakset could be filled with snacks galore- and he'd probably be in heaven. Is everyone staying in the same room.... and when are you going? ANy chance of a holiday time ???

Thanks for the great ideas!!! Yes, we will be there right before Christmas and I was thinking about adding a personalized ornament with the year.

Thanks again!!!

P.S. I'm sure my brother would love the cute girl idea :p.

Sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, disposible camera, bottle of water, mister bottle, Disney Dollars, Roll of pennies for the penny press, Pressed penny book holder, invitation for a special anniversary dinner, bride & groom ears, snacks, guide book for that specific age group, waist pouch/bag
For the dinner I would choose a special restaurant and then let them know it is their anniversary. I would also have this noted on the resort resv, so the hotel knows as well.

Kim- you could turn the baskets into stockings.... that's Christmassy and fun- or how about Santa Hats with Mickey ears- then you could wear them in the parks! You'd be surprised what people will wear in WDW at Christmas!!! :p And how fun would it be to have your family picture taken in matching t-shirts and Mickey Santa hats?!?!? You could add a Disney Christmas video to those baskets if you want or a small bunch of Christmas lights to put up in the room! TDS has cut Christmas suckers with the characters on them- they'd be fun. Just think of things you'd put in a stocking.... and load up! I'm so excited for you- you're gonna have so much fun doing this!

Wow Karen... those are incredible ideas!!!! I love the stockings and the mickey santa hat ideas. YEAH... I love planning this!!!

Thanks again!!!!

Kim,

The year we went for Christmas I gave everyone a MM ornament. Hallmark usually has quite a few to choose from (different characters). It's a nice way to remember a special trip.

Have fun planning!

How about Guest of Honor Badges? You can order them from Gifts of a Lifetime and, last I knew, you could also call the christmas store at DTD directly to order them. I'll bet your sister would really get a kick out of the CMs seeing the badge and calling her by name at WDW.

Also, for your brother & sister, I would suggest getting them some Disney Dollars to spend on the trip.

Kim- do you do any needlework at all? Embroider by any chance? I have a good idea if you do- at least I think it's a good idea!
