Gift bag delivery

My fiance and I were discussing what to do with our gift bags for our guests. How did you get your gift bags to your 3 hotels for delivery? Am I able to ship them to the hotels? Any help would be appreciated!

I put them together when I arrived @ disney, since I pretty much bought all of the snacks/water at BJ's down there. Then the first night i was there, I dropped them off at each hotel and asked the concierge to have them given to the guests at check-in. the only problem i ran into was that one of the bags was for someone who was already checked in, and after 2 days, they finally had to go down to the desk and ask for it.

Thanks that's very helpful. We won't have a car so we have to get our items for the gift bag ahead of time. How many bags did you have to pack up and how long did it take you? We have one couple arriving 2 days before us (6 days before the wedding) so I'm sure we'll face the same problem with getting the bag to them!

I think some people give them out at the welcome party, if you're having one. I'm not sure that would be any easier...

Welcome Party or delivering them to hotels.

We delivered to hotels (only 2 luckily). We had the guest first and last name on the tag as well as their check-in date and confirmation number (you'll have that on the chart with your room nights). Ask them to type this all into the computer while you wait. That way, it will pop up during your guest's check-in that they have a package. We were nervous the front desk would forget, so we prompted all of our guests to ask for their bags.

The Yacht Club told 6 different sets of guests that they didn't have bags. They were "lost" for a few hours. After our rehearsal dinner, my dad went and spoke the the YC front desk and they looked in the back, and what do ya know? They found them all!

I know that's not a reassuring story, but I know other brides have had perfect luck with delivering of welcome bags. Still, it doesn't hurt to give your guests a hint that there will be something waiting for them at the desk and to ask at check-in!

we had about 35 guests total, but i did pretty much one bag per room, putting enough for maybe 2-3 guests depending on who was in the room, so i think I did a total of no more than 15 bags. I did it, along with my MOH, mom, brother and his girlfriend, so i had lots of help, it took me about 30 minutes to do. After the bags were done, i ran into my biggest problem, I didn't have an updated rooming list with everyones confirmation # etc. on it. So i think i called 5 times before I acutally got it, b/c my coordiantor's asssistant was out of the office that day. Once I got the updated list, it was smooth sailing from there.

For the guests that are already checked in, jsut let them knw that you'll have bags there for them, our guests that were checked in, had to go down and pick it up. Every guest that checked in, got it, so i thought that was good!

I did some at the Welcome/RD and some i delivered. I rented a car for the first two days because I knew that I would have important luggage and that I had errands to run. It was $50 and I dropped it off at the Swan and walked back to my hotel at BW. I drove and delivered to about 5 hotels...first name, last name and on the back I wrote a little thing asking that if they didn't make it to its owner, to please call me and I left my cell number. I put them mostly together here at home and put the finishing touches when I got there. HTH

we took a taxi to the allstar movies where our guests were staying & dropped off the boxes with our guest welcome bags inside. on each bag i had the guests name, reservation number & check in date. i also noted on each reservation when i booked them that there was a guest bag to be handed out at check in. i talked with chris whos one of the managers at asmo who made sure they were handed out. our guests loved the bags & goodies.
