Hello, Has anyone heard if Gideons Bakehouse has opened yet?

It has not; they have been hyping up the location here recently on Instagram but have not given a date.

About 2 weeks ago, it looked like there was still some construction going on.

It was still closed as of yesterday, and tbh, construction looked like it had a ways to go, though we couldn't get a great look because the construction walls are still up around it.

I know they're saying it'll be open this year, but i wouldn't count on this week.

We're driving home tomorrow and placed a pre-order for cookies at their orlando location, to take with us on the drive. We were hoping DS would be open by now.

I stopped for their cookies when I was there a couple of weeks ago. Had no idea they were so massive. But they were really good!

" ... Gideon's Bakehouse at Disney Springs is coming soon. We have no official date currently, but our new friend's arrival might indicate that things are getting close. We thank you for your patience and promise that it will be worth the wait."

We plan to be there toward the end of January, and are crossing our fingers.

Word is (through a site we can't link to here) that they open tomorrow (12/23) at 10am!!!

Just got out. Got in the virtual queue before dinner (was at like 3 hours). Theming is awesome. Heading back to the room with a few cookies and giant slice of cake. Looks great hope is as good as it looks.

I stand (happily) corrected. I saw they opened today.

We're still eating the cookies we picked up on Saturday. They were huge, and delicious. Fwiw, the choc chip and the cookies and cream were my favorite. Also got the triple chocolate and the peanut butter one. The cookies and cream tastes like a milkshake, or like oreos dunked in milk. I'm a fan.

I'm glad to hear they are doing virtual queue at DS; before we knew about virtual queue, we were joking we'd bet it's quicker to drive to Orlando to get cookies than wait at DS.

I've never heard of them so checked out their website - their cookies look delicious (and massive!)... definitely adding it to our "must try" list when we visit next time!

Yes, you sign up for the queue with a hostess out in front of the store.

We do too. Their store at the co-op location is so cute but unfortunately we have had to pre-order the last few times since they always sell out. They're so good!! We usually bring some back with us, they freeze pretty well.
