Gideon’s timing??

We are visiting next week and I have seen different posts about when Springs opens to guests. Can I walk around before shops open or are guests held until 9:00 am? Is it best to get on line for Gideon’s or enter the virtual line? We are planning to go on Friday or Saturday. Thanks so much.

I was there twice last week, once I had to join the virtual queue which was about 3pm, I was texted to come back at 7:45pm, so it was a very long wait. The second time, we were at Disney Springs around 10:30am, I wandered over and they were not doing the virtual queue yet. The line looked pretty long (almost around the backside of building) but they informed me that it was probably only about 25 minutes. They were right! It was worth waiting, the cookies in the morning were 10 fold better than the evening ones. The night ones almost seemed a little stale.

They let you in before 9am to wander, but I'm not sure what time security/parking actually opens. Hopefully someone can come in with a more specific number.

At Gideon's, you don't get a choice of waiting vs virtual. If the line is not that long, you stand and wait. If the line is long, you join the virtual queue. Employees will be at the end of the line letting people know either way. I've done it both ways, depending upon the day/time.

I was there three weeks ago. You put your name in the virtual queue and they text you when to come back. We were there on a Friday. Put name in around 3:30 and got text about 6:15. Once at Gideon's the ask your name and then you go in line. The line adds about 20 minutes. Guy working the register said Fridays and Saturdays are the worst.

Gideons is a true phenomenon to us - a mystery! We did the VQ once, was called back in a couple hours and we waited another 30 minutes. We were very underwhelmed with the cookies and won't be doing it again. It's not worth it for us. But clearly from the lines and the comments online, it's a very popular place! They certainly have something good going on there!
