Haunted Places in CT
Ok, go to that website and scroll down to Manchester (there'll be 2 stories) and one of them will be about Emanuel Lutheran Church. That's my church and the part where it talks about the bathroom stalls..I was there when that happened.
It was me and my friend Sam during our confirmation class in 7th grade. Once a month we would have a "youth night" which is just a night when we would play games and sardines (scroll down for an explanation of the game) was always the highlight of the night. The game always started upstairs in the chapel and everyone would usually search that floor first and then go up into the attic (that attic is so spooky). Anyways Sam and I decided to be different and start downstairs in the hall with the classrooms (there was no one else down there except maybe Darren who was hiding). So we get down there and decide to look in the bathroom first. We turn on the light, and look in the stalls (there's only 2 stalls) and there was no one there so we went to leave. Before we left both stall doors were closed but the second we turned off the light one of the stall doors slammed. We were freaked out (naturally) but we figured it was probably Darren playing a joke on us, so we went to the next room and continued our search. When we went upstairs later we found out that Darren had been hiding in the attic the entire time. We sat out the next few rounds of sardines..
I found that website out of boredom one day, most of the stories are a bunch of crap but imagine my surprise when that was on there. Sam must have written it at some point. So do I believe in ghosts? I'm still a skeptic..
Sardines (backwards hide and go seek)
It's best when you have a big group of people
1. Pick one person to go hide
2. Count to 30
3. Go find the person hiding
4. When you find them, you hide with them (and so does everyone else who finds them)
5. The last person to find them loses and has to hide next
*Don't hide in a cabinet, we found that out the hard way..
