Does anyone know what the progress is on the new walkway between the GF and MK?

This is so cool! It’s the first I’ve read of this – does anyone have a map or drawing they can post? Ive always wished they would do this at AKL leading to animal kingdom!

Any idea how long the walk will be? I’m familiar with the CR walkway—this one looms longer (but perhaps a prettier walk w/out the traffic & major roadway)

Looking at Google maps, it doesn't look like it is that much longer than the CR walk. I've walked from the TTC to the Poly to visit Trader Sam's, and then on to the GF, I may try to walk the whole way to the MK once it is all opened up.

I'm hoping that I can get a fall discount to stay at GF or CR just to do the walk around the whole loop. Yeah, I know there isn't anything between CR and TTC. Will have to take alternate transportation. Can't wait!!!

Someone on here posted a map of the area previously, but I can't locate it right now and don't recall the distances they showed. The advantage of the Contemporary to Magic Kingdom walkway when we stayed there last year was that it was an easy/short way to get to the park. We found taking the monorail back from Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary worked best for us since it was the next monorail stop.

The Magic Kingdom is the next stop after the Floridian, so it seems the main advantage would be when returning from the park. Compared to walking, if you took the monorail when returning, you would have to go all the way around the lake and make 3 other stops (Contemporary, Ticket/Trans Ctr & Polynesian) before getting to the Floridian.

Would someone who goes after it opens take a picture of exactly where in the resort it connects to?I'm not sure at the resort it starts from, and I'm afraid of not being able to find it.

I am sure there will be signage when they open, but all the maps I have seen show the pathway ending right at the end of Sago Key and right near the end of Main Building, so just find a map of the Grand, locate The end of Sago Key closest to the Main Building and that is where the pathway starts. I know where some maps showing the path are, but don't know if we are allowed to mention them, just do a search and you can find it.
