Hi, we're staying at the GF the week after Thanksgiving- I'm so excited!!!
I booked us in the main building concierge with a lagoon view..will we have a chance of seeing the castle? If not, I need to know which view I should ask for- I know there is no guarantee. Please tell me a room number if you know of one that would have a nice view. My son may be disappointed, as we usually stay at the CR with a castle view- really magical! I thought we'd splurge and do the GF this year.
Thanks for your help.

With the main building, you don't actually reserve a room view. All the standard concierge rooms are the same price and the views vary from castle/marina, to courtyard garden and lagoon. You can request a specific view with the IPO staff. Room numbers 4301-4309 on the 3rd floor and 4401-4409 on the 4th floor will give you the marina/castle view. There is no 5th floor in this wing of the main building. We had 4404 once and could see the castle changing colors from in bed. It is the furthest walk to the concierge lounge and main elevators however. Between the view and very little hallway traffic, I thought it was well worth it though. There is a service elevator in this wing that will bring you down next to Gasparillas Grill. This was pretty convenient.

Thanks for your reply- I think I will call and mention the marina view- it seems a little confusing to me about the lagoon view and the marina view? Sorry, I am absolutely terrible with directions- my kids can read a map better than me:) Thank heavens I have 4 boys (including hubbie) who can figure out where we are and where we're going!!!

No problem. You can call or e-mail the IPO staff. The lagoon view in the main building will have you overlooking the theme pool, beach and you'll see the Spaceship Earth out in the distance. It's a great view, but if you want the castle, then that's marina.

So I am better off talking to the concierge staff than calling the WDisney number and having them note it on my ressie- right? I believe I read somewhere on this site the phone number or email addresses for concierge but can't remember where it is. As always, any help is appreciated. The GF looked just beautiful at Christmas last year, :Pinkbounc and I can hardly wait for this year!!

Tammi thanks so much for all your help and info. By your notation at the bottom, it looks like you need to plan another trip!! :goodvibes
I ordered a couple of the 10 day tics, so I'll HAVE to go back-haha :flower:

January is wishful thinking right now. I thought I could last until next summer, but I'm having serious Disney withdrawal. I typically plan within a few months or even weeks of going though, so I don't mind waiting and being spontaneous. We had 4 almost completely un-planned Disney trips last year, so I don't want my DH to get sick of it. He did try to tell me once, that I couldn't choose Disney World as a vacation destination, so instead I booked us on a Disney cruise. That taught him!
