It's $1,500 for food and beverage, but at least there's no venue-rental fee. The patio can hold up to 10 banquet rounds in addition to the existing seating (6 umbrella tables with 4 chairs apiece).

Correct - the structure itself is entirely taken up by a bar with shutters that open up. So if you are sitting at the bar, you are under the eaves, but only the bartender is inside the Summerhouse.

Is it quite a public space? Do you think it would be too cold to eat outside in December? (Thanks Carrie)

It's fairly public - halfway between the main pool and the theme pool - but every time I've been there it wasn't exactly bustling (especially in the middle of the day, when most people are at the parks). The weather's a tough call. It seems like you hear reports of all kinds of different weather in Florida in December. It's *supposed* to be nice then, but then you hear the horror story about it being freezing out - this is not helping you, I'm sure!

I had my rehearsal/welcome party lunch at the Summer House in December. The weather was gorgeous and we had over 65 people there.
