We have decided to go on a last minute 5 day trip for Christmas. Our first choice was the RPC at GF since we love sitting in the concierge lounge listening to the band. However, this is booked and only Lodge concierge is avaiable.

I believe that this is now "full" concierge. Can anyone confirm this for me? Do they have champagne and beer sitting out like in the RPC or do you need to ask for it?

We are also hesitant about the size of the lounge as we like the more open lounges such as the RPC and AKL. Does anyone have any comments on this - i.e. is it noisy and crowded like the Polynesian lounge can sometimes become.

We are also considering BC concierge with the 1 bedroom suite. Does anyone have any comments on the concierge or pictures of the suite?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as we need to make our reservation tonight. Thank you!

SugarLoaf definitely has a different feel than the main building. When I describe it, I typically use the term bed & breakfast because that's what it reminds me of. The lounge itself is located right in the ground floor lobby and the CM's have their desks set up right there also. There are no TV's and seating consists of some round tables & chairs, sofas, easy chairs and coffee tables. It has a certain warmth and coziness. It is now considered full service and from the pictures that I've seen, it appears as though the wine and cordials are displayed on the table. I'm not sure about items that need to be kept cold.

I have stayed in the YC concierge and it's my understanding that the BC is very similar. The lounges there are tiny and they do only remain open during the food service hours. For example, if snacks are served from 11am-4pm and then the evening offering begins at 5pm, the lounge doors will be closed between 4 and 5pm. Not a huge deal, but I like having the option of relaxing in the lounge at any hour and not trying to time it to when the doors will be open. The pre-planning staff is excellent at the Epcot resorts.

Beer & Champagne are sitting out.
I didn't find it noisy at all -- there is no tv (THANK GOODNESS!) so, that element of noise isn't there.

I know there is a thread that has lots of pics -- even of the food offerings!
These aren't that great of pics of the lounge area -- they are mostly of my kids being silly! LOL!
