GF Spa question about being Naked

Being from a very blue collar background (i.e. never been to a spa) I have a question about the GF spa. I was ready the brochure and one paragraph talks about bathing suits being optional at the Suana and the Spa.

Does this mean you go naked?
Are these same sex only ?

There is a seperate sauna located in both the men's and women's lounge area along with a steam and whirlpool. I've never witnessed anyone in them without a bathing suit on. As for the spa treatments, you receive a bathrobe and slippers when you check in. The lounges contain dressing area's and lockers with keys in them. The treatment rooms are private and the attendant will escort you in, then wait outside until you disrobe and get comfortable. I admit, I felt a bit awkward at my first spa experience, but they made me feel very comfortable.

As Tammi said, the spa and sauna's are in the mens and womens changing room areas, and are strictly same gender. That said, I have seen women using these facilities in the buff a couple of times.

I've also seen a variety of ways of changing from clothes to bathing suits or robes. Some women take everything into one of the toilet stalls or the shower area, others discretely dress in the locker area, and still others let it all hang out in the locker area.

Do whatever makes YOU feel comfortable. Enjoy!

Are there co-ed areas? My husband and I are going on Valentine's Day and opted not for the couples massage. Are there whirlpool/sauna areas where we can sit together?

the whirlpool and sauna's are not shared unless you are like my DSIS who wasn't escorted back to the locker room after her treatment and some how ended up in the men's area . She wasn't the least bit embarassed. She had a big smile on her face, and NO i dfidn't ask for details of her short but sweet visit to the men's locker room. Susan

I've never witnessed anyone in them without a bathing suit on.

From my experience there, I guess guys are a little more uninhibited than the ladies. Suites were in the minority in the men's area when I was there.
