GF RPC views

Is there a bad view in the main building? I want to request castle view, but want to keep in mind of what I might get. Also any suggestion on what to do our first half day/night there? Thanks for your help!

The smallest wing of rooms have a castle view.

The rest of the rooms must look out towards the pools and the Polynesian side.

No, there isn't a bad view, unless you have palm trees blocking your view of the castle......from our room we could see palm trees that appeared to be blocking the views of rooms two over from ours.

For a castle view, you simply go down near Gasparilla's. We watched the fireworks from our room right above G's and the people who watched from below all had talbes and chairs and a great clear view. No crowds.

The first half day just relax!

The music will be playing in the lobby.

The pools will be open.

You can walk over to the Polynesian and enjoy the lovely landscaping.

You will not lack for things to enjoy!!

One night when we walked over to the Poly, we happened to catch the end of the Luau (sp?).

The music sounded great as we approached, you can hear it from the path that connects the two resorts.

You can also take a ride on the monorail and the ferries just to get psyched up for the rest of your time at WDW.

We walked to the Poly, then to the TTC, and hopped a ferry to MK, then walked to the Contemporary, then rode the monorail back to the GF one afternoon....that was actually more fun than it sounds now.....LOL

Thanks for the info Karemore. It sounds like you had alot of fun, I can't wait. Eventhough the trip won't be until 1 year from now. I always wanted to be at Disney at mother's day.

The main building is lovely. We stayed there most recently last Fall. I was disabled and thus was in a disabled room. The view was not a MK view but was lovely nonetheless. Here are a few photos:

I'm sorry that I don't have photos to post of the GF RPC room that we had once with a MK (Cinderella's Castle) view. It was lovely. I should probably note that my favorite MK views are from Conch Key.
