GF room upgrade!

Got to tell everybody about this!! Our son and his new bride of 24 hours, arrived at the GF this past Sunday, 3/28, and upon checking in were told that they had been upgraded from a Garden View room view, to the Honeymoon Suite! When he made the res's many months back, I told him to mention that it was their honeymoon. He was reluctant, not wanting to let anybody know that they had just goten married, but he did it anyway. When they called telling us about it Sunday night, they were both breath taken about it. Mentioning special events on ones res's and at check-ins, does make a difference!

My dh and I experienced the same thing at the GF in Sept. of 97' and it was wonderful!! We also had just reserved a GV room and upon check-in when they found out we were there on our honeymoon, they upgraded us to a suite! We were in the SAGO CAY building in a suite on the 5th floor overlooking the lagoon and monorail and to this day it was one of the most magical trips to WDW we've ever had. Hope your son & daughter in law enjoy it tremendously!! It makes the honeymoon all that more special!

Just in case anyone else is planning.

Yes this does happen and mentioning it, honeymoons etc. won't hurt. But this is never a guarantee that everyone gets upgraded.

I would just hate for somone on their honeymoon to be disappointed it did not happen for them.
