GF room selection- questions and opinions

Does anyone know which buildings have which room decor themes??? Can anyone recommend a good room location(gv)? I am especially interested in dormer rooms or corner rooms! Thanks for your help!

I know that the rooms in Conch Key are decorated in the "Alice in Wonderland" theme - very nice! We had a dormer room (I'm assuming they put us there because there are only 3 of us) and we loved it.

I like the Swan rooms found in Sago Cay
Then next, the Cameo theme rooms found in Sugar Loaf and the Main Building rooms.

We are staying at the GF in September and I am hoping to get a good upgrade price to Concierge if and when AP rates come out

We're going in two weeks, so thanks for the info. I requested a dormer room, now I'll see if that corner one is available.
I'll have to check out the other information too! There are 3 of us too, so I guess the room size is perfect!

Thanks for allyour help! Does anyone have any photos of dormer rooms, particularly balconies or corner rooms? Any 1rst floor corner rooms? Room #'s??? Any other info appreciated!! Also would like info on rooms with monorail view? Also, where to eat while staying here???? Thanks!

I can help with some of the food offerings:

When we went in October, our DD was 3 1/2, so we only ate at places we felt the most comfortable with her. The GF Cafe is charming and casual, with wonderful breakfast and lunch menus. The views are so pretty if you sit by a window! 1900 Park Fare has character meals (buffets) for breakfast and dinner, and the food was great, in our opinion. Gasparilla's Grill is the GF's version of a food court, mostly self serve, but you order your hot food. This was great for poolside eating or snacking any time of day, but especially for our DD, because she was so excited wherever we went that she hardly ate. By the time we arrived at the hotel for the night, she was starving, so we'd stop at Gasparilla's on the way to our room.

You can also have afternoon tea in the Garden Lounge, or eat dinner at Citricos, Narcoosee's or Victoria & Albert's (very formal). Here is a good sight to read up on these restaurants:

The official WDW site has a corner room at its 360 degree view of its standard room at the GF. I also believe that ourlaughingplace.com has pictures of the first floor corner room in Conch Key (7125?).
