GF room decor ?

I just booked one night at the GF for the last night of our trip. I'm very excited- without the military deal and staying at SoG the rest of the trip I couldn't have afforded it. Anyway, I was reading in my Passporter that the rooms are decorated in different themes- fairies, Swans, ALICE, and I was wondering what the Alice rooms look like? I really, really would like an Alice room as I am an Alice in Wonderland fan and find her wonderfully quirky- is it something I could request in a FAX closer to our date, or is that something kinda silly to request? I know all the rooms are beautiful, but I figure this will be the only chance I will ever get to stay there, and I'd love an Alice room!!

Alice, at the top of this forum there is a resort FAQ thread. There you will find a GF thread by California Dreaming. It shows the different themes.

Have a great trip. We've only stayed there twice but both trips...both 8 nights I think...were wonderful. Have fun!

We stayed in an "Alice" room in December 01. This was in the Conch Key building. I believe the "Alice" theme is also in the Big Pine Key building - not 100% sure so you may want to check the GF faq found somewhere on the resorts board by "california dreaming."

The room was decorated in soft blues and the Alice characters were 'hidden' in the bedspread and also found on the toiletry items like soap, lotion and cotton balls.

We were travelling with my parents who also were in Conch building and their walls had floral wallpaper. Our room had pale blue paint. Both rooms had their charm.

If you want an Alice room, it wouldn't hurt to fax a request. I don't know, however, if it would be more helpful to request which building or the room theme. I'm not sure if the room controllers know which buildings have the specific themes.

If you find the GF faq, I think there are pictures of the rooms on there.

Thanks! I checked out the FAQ and got the info I needed. Any opinions on this: should I FAX a building request, or maybe personally stop by the GF a few days before we check in and pour on the sugar and request one of those buildings? I'm thinking I will personally stop by and ask as my FAX request was never received when I sent one to the CR last time.
