GF Rehab.. pictures!

Live... from the Grand Floridian Conch Key! Being in this building right now has it's good points and it's bad. We were told we are the very first in the new room and that's kinda cool. The room is gorgeous! The lobby is under construction and that is neat to see, but inconvient (have to use Boca Chica's laundry room). And, they are having problems with the TV signal and it locks up sometimes. It seems to be improving. We have been calling about it and so has everyone else, from what we have heard. Anyway... on to the pics!

The daybed is beautiful. It folds down into a bed. Sorry I didn't get a pic before.

I didn't see a table with chairs...does the desk replace that? We really used our table and chairs for room service and such...I have to step away from this thread...I am swayed so easily to change resorts...lol...)see my thread Confessions of the Resort Changers....lol)

I don't know.. This building is nice, but quite a hike from the lobby. We don't have a view of MK, but this isn't too shabby a view either. I don't think you will be disappointed anywhere.

I think the desk must replace it. There is a lower shelf that pulls out from the desk. With the daybed, ect, there isn't any more room for an additional table.

Thanks Holbear! We've been waiting for the first person to report and post pix of the rehab! How cool to be the first in a rehabbed room! I love the daybed!!

And you're right - I would have asked you about the bathroom!!

I like it, I think they compromised and tried to add the original decor and the decor of the last rehab, by toning down the colors and making it a little more elegant. The negatives I think is that the desk makes the room look crowded, probably just looks like that in the room with connecting doors. I also notice they did not change anything in the bathroom.

Is that a minibar under the TV or just an empty fridge now? It looks like maybe there's a table that's being stored under the desk, but I agree, I think I liked the larger table and chairs as opposed to that bigger blue chair that's been added. The armoire looks smaller, with only 4 drawers. Nice colors though, very muted.

One question: Did you have to fix the Daybed yourself or did you have turndown service and they did it? If you did it yourself, was there sheets and blankets already in the room? Thanks!
