Family of 5... three kids, 7, 4 and 3.

I have BC right now for three nights at the end of a 10 night vacation, however I am really worried about the crowds at SAB. I am wondering if we would be better off at GF or POLY...

Does anyone have any insights on how crowded SAB gets, what it is like, etc?

Thanks,
Karen

Could someone please take a moment and share their views, please?

I want to have all my ducks lined up for when AP rates come out tomorrow! (I can hope, can't I?)

Thanks,
Please,

Karen

SAB is great -- you didn't mention in your post what month you were going in?

SAB does get a bit crowded - but you shouldn't have any problem getting in there as long as you're staying at that resort.

GF pools are great - we've always loved them, esp. the new pool with the slide and waterfall. Very nice!

Although- the Poly does have a Volcano at their pool, which may be fun for the little ones. A sense of adventure :)

Purely up to you!!

Isn't it nice to have such a dilema? ;) I am currently trying to decide between the Beach Club and the Polynesian for our August vacation with three children 10, 7, and 2. Like you, I am worried about the crowding at SAB. I have never stayed there so I am not sure how bad it gets. Also, I wonder if it is really as great as some people describe. It would be the main reason that I would stay there.

Here is what makes me lean toward the Polynesian. The monorail will be a huge asset when it comes to naps and afternoon breaks for your little ones. For you, that still leaves the decision between the GF and the Polynesian. Personally, I am leaning towards the Polynesian. I think that my children will most enjoy the Magic Kingdom so the monorail access will be a blessing. Also, the rooms are bigger at the Polynesian...I am not sure about the size of the GF rooms. I think that I am calling my DU agent and switching reservations to the Polynesian. Like you, I am really hoping for AP discounts or some kind of room only code! Have fun deciding.

My choice would be the GF...the kids pool there is great. There's a zero entry right from the beach, a great slide, you can sit on the beach & still be beside the pool :) and it isn't crowded. SAB is nice but good luck finding a chair :( . We could never find one when we were there & that was before the BCV opened. The BC is beautiful but way too crowded & has very limited "quick" meal choices.

I can't speak for the Poly (staying there in October) but between the BC & GF or Poly I'd go GF or Poly in a heartbeat. The convenience of the monorail is wonderful & with kids, I doubt you'd spend that much time at Epcot...Mk will be so convenient on the monorail :)

As for rooms: the GF rooms are large (403 sf...Poly's are 407 sf) but the bathroom layout seems better to me than the Poly (sinks separate from the toilet/tub).

Just thought I'd post what I could for you both. Good luck with your decisions.
