A week or two ago, my daughter did the Pirate's Cruise again and had a great time. I'm going to post some new photos as soon as I find the time. She also did the Haunted Pirate's Cruise on Halloween night. I'll post photos of that, too. Click here for my main on-line photo album (which will be updated within the next week or so).
Csamom, you are very kind. I still haven't added my new photos to the GF children's activities' albums yet, but plan on trying to do so over the Thanksgiving week. However, I just want to tell you to definitely give one (if not all three) of those children's events a try. My daughter has done them for years now and always has the best time. In my humble opinion, the GF truly has a lock on wonderful children's activities at WDW (and you dont have to stay at the GF in order to book one of those events for your child).
My sons went on this a couple of weeks ago and they absolutely LOVED it. They had a blast and it was definitely worth it, BOOK it, you'll be happy you did!
I just posted a description of the Pirate's Cruise that my daughter dictated to me this evening in the following thread: click here (see page 4). For a little girl, she sure went into a lot of detail. I wish I were young enough to attend the event.

There was someone waiting hoping for cancelations. I talked to one of the staff. She said there are always people waiting for cancellations - and there are never any cancellations. Hopefully, someone will cancel before you leave, but I wouldn't spend my morning at the marina hoping someone doesn't show up. Sounds like a rare event.
Summerrluvv, the photos have been taken over a series of years. The ones that I took were taken at the GF's marina. The past few cruises, however, I have sent my daughter with a disposable camera. Her pictures are the ones that show a little bit about what happens during the cruise. As my daughter ages, her photos should get better (on her last cruise, she still had a few photos with "fingers" over the lens).
Liv2CdWorld, as Crisi stated, the bandanas were the regular ones -- no Mickey ones (drats). My daughter attended the cruise during the last week of October.
