Has anyone done the new GF PHoto Pass session?

DH and I spent our honeymoon there, but we don't have many pictures of "us" from the resort b/c we were the ones taking pictures! I thought it might be romantic to relive a bit of our honeymoon by getting the pics here, but I am hoping to find out what the session is like. Where on the grounds are the pictures, what does the photographer try to "catch"?

The deal w/the photo pass seems great:
You can schedule a 20 minute one-on-one session with a PhotoPass Photographer at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The two package options are:

$49.95 - Sitting Fee only
$124.95 - Sitting Fee plus all of the PhotoPass pictures taken by PhotoPass photographers throughout your stay on a PhotoPass CD
The Grand Floridian session must be booked at least 30 days prior to arrival. The number to call is: 407-824-1700

The CD ends up only being 75$, which is a lot more reasonable to me! If you haev done this, do you have any pictures to post from it?

I would love to know anything about this as well. I didn't find out about the GF session until after we got back. i love photopass and purchased the cd this trip. This would definately make it worth it. We try to get as many photos as possible on ours so its a better value and I would love to have some portraits of us taken which we need to have done anyway.

My DH and I did the shoot the first week of September. We had fun. Pictures are taken inside the resort on the second floor in a couple of spots, on the staircase and by the windows. Then we walked out side and had some shots on the beach area, then we walked around the back and had shots taken by the benches and flowers. We had about 35 pictures taken. I preordered the CD and just placed the order last thursday, my CD has already been shipped to me I should have it this week.

We really enjoyed the session it lasted about 25 minutes.

hey there.....
i've been trying to get info on prepurchasing the photopass CD as we have a GF session booked later this month....but I've had no luck! The photopass people told me that this isn't a "public" offer: that it involves a code. Anybody with any info?
Also, say if i buy the CD the day of my session, which is 2 days before I leave- how do I go about getting all of the pix from my entire stay onto the one CD? I'm assuming this can be done, but I wouldn't know how to go about doing it....any advice appreciated!

Hi,
We just did the GF shoot on Friday. I did pre-purchase my photo cd for $99. I had to pay $24.99 at the GF for the sitting fee.
My 5-year old daughter did the shoot and they came out beautifully. Unfortunately it was raining so they couldn't do any outdoor/beach shots. They did take pics in the lobby, on the grand staircase, in the window, and also in the carriage out front. I can try to post the pics after I receive my cd. In the meantime here's the prepurchase link.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

WOW! thanks for the link! It worked! I'm so exited! I wonder why Disney can't even give me the info you great DIS'ers can?!!;)

I really appreciate the post!
Do you know anything about combining the week's worth of photopass pix taken with the GF sitting?

Thanks again!

Thanks for more info on the sessions. I'm going to book one for our December Trip. I was going to be thrilled w/ just a regular photo studio shoot but w/ all you guys mentioned looks like this might be a regular thing for us to do on our trips every year (as long as they keep it).

Hi Lisa,
We just handed the girl at the GF our PhotoPass card and then she scanned it after she took the pictures so our whole weeks worth of pictures (including the GF shoot) was on the one card. It is my understanding that if you have multiple photo pass cards you can combine them when you log-in to the Photo Pass website and then they will all be included on your cd.
Just remember to print out your email 'receipt' for your pre-purchased cd and show it at the GF desk, so they only charge you the $24.99 vs. the $49.99 for the sitting fee. Let me know if you have any more questions.
:goodvibes

And I was quite pleased with the whole experience. We were lucky enough to get in on the deal when there was no sitting fee if you pre-pay for the CD, so we did! Our appt. was for 9am, we showed up at 8:45 as they requested, and we were done by 9:30. Very efficient!! A HUGE help with a 2 and 4 year old. Overall I think we got a number of very nice shots. Even DH thought it was a great use of time - and he is never into the whole picture taking/photo shoot experience. Ever. :thumbsup2

Let's see if I can show some pictures so you all can see the diff. settings....
(Tried to resize them all, but clearly had issues. Sorry for the biggies!)
