Which do you think is better for a December 5-night stay? We want to stay club level in hopes that the extra fastpass program will still be in use. Will use the lounge mostly for a quick breakfast and late afternoon snack.

We need a room that sleeps 5 but do not want to pay the extra $ for a suite and have narrowed it down to the standard room in the GF outer building or deluxe room at WL. Price is similar for each. We like the hotel's decor fairly equally, but generally would give an edge to the monorail convenience of GF.

I was set to book the GF, but I have read that the outer building club level experience at GF is not nearly as nice as the main building (which has no availability.)

Curious to get others' opinions....

Thank you!

I have done both. For December I prefer Wl. The suites are on the opposite end of the resort compared to lounge tho.

I enjoyed sitting up above and looking down at all the Christmas decorations.

I do like SL year round but I prefer rpc forChristmas because I like to listen to the band.

There have been times I just walk over with a wine and sit in the lobby. Nice it’s a short walk.

I did the suite thanksgiving 2018. Gf rpc 2019. Both were lovely vacations, Jan 2017 was SL.

My vote would be GF. I'm not fond of the location of the deluxe rooms at WL in relation to the CL lounge and GF is far more convenient to the parks than WL (the boat is nice there, but I find the bus service really lacking). If you were able to stay in a standard CL room at WL, I probably would have voted for that as many of those rooms have MK fireworks views, but in the case of the deluxe rooms, my vote is for GF outer building.

The deluxe rooms at WL are as far away as you can get from the club lounge. The deluxe rooms can be on the 1st to 5th floors while the club lounge is on the 7th floor. The layout of the WL deluxe room is interesting. The fifth person would sleep on the sofa bed in the sitting area, which can be separated off from the bedroom. That may or may not be convenient. The bathroom is set up as a walk through. You can enter from the hall or from the bedroom, and there really isn't very much privacy for someone standing at the sink area unless you close both doors. They overlook the boat dock and the first boat arrives around 6:30 am. The geyser starts going off at 7am, and the rooms are right next to it. But the view from the balcony is beautiful and I loved sitting out there. :)

If the price were the same I would probably recommend the GF. The lounge in the Sugar Loaf building is on the ground floor and very convenient. We haven't stayed here but if you only plan to have breakfast and afternoon snacks, how bad can it be. ;)

The food offerings are the same in SL and RPC. It’s only the lounge itself that’s nicer in the main building because it opens up to the lobby. But as mentioned you can bring a glass of wine and wander over to the lobby to enjoy the music.
