GF or POLY

Grand Floridian or Poly Resorts for Christmas 2004? With a 1 year old and 10 year old?? I want it to be easy access!

We just got back from 5 days at the Poly. It was our first time to Disney World and the Poly was perfect. The Grand Floridian looked awesome from where we were but we didn't go over and check it out. I just can't imagine any of them being better than the Poly was. We stayed in the Tokelau building and the room was nice and roomy. The food was good at all the restauarants.....a bit pricey but you expect that. We paid $289/night through Small World Travel via mousesavers.com. Happy planning!!

You can't go wrong with either but GF is my favorite resort. It is stunning!!

I agree with Johnsonet.......you can't go wrong with either resort.

I just prefer the Polynesian theming......and restaurants......and pools......and beaches......and fireworks view......etc.......over the Grand Floridian. It's just a matter of personal taste here.

Both are very convenient......with the Polynesian having the slight edge here too......because it's within easy walking distance to the Transportation & Ticket Center.

You'll thoroughly enjoy whichever you choose.

and we liked the Poly better. We don't have kids so I an't speak from the perspective. However, I think if I did have kids I would definitely choose the Poly. There is a great zero entry pool. And, I hear the Neverland Club at the Poly is fantastic. We thought the Grand was fine but a bit stuffy for our taste. I liked the landscaping and theming of the Poly better. And, you can easily walk over to the Grand from the Poly and enjoy all the restaurants so you really get the best of both worlds.

While we've never stayed at either, during our last trip, we thoroughly checked out all of the monorail resorts for future reference. The Poly really knocked our socks off, however for a Christmas trip, I think the GF would win out for its' traditional elegance. I can just picture it beautifully decorated for the holidays. Have fun deciding!
