GF or Poly?

Poly is THE resort my family stays at. We've stayed there twice. We've tried Fort Wilderness, but it wasn't our style.
It's laid back, it's beautiful, I just love everything about it. The lobby is beautiful, and everywhere there are beautiful statues of dolphins and such. I love the beach, I love walking around, I just adore the place.
Personally, I don't like GF. It seems too clean and... I dunno.. it's just not somewhere I'd stay at Disney. I'd stay there if I was going to some random place, but not Disney.

I haven't stayed at either but I have been to both (if that makes sense to you guys). I LOVE the GF. I always get a french manicure and pedicure at their spa. =]

Ok, so, I am going to WDW in August

My nana said I can pick any hotel to stay at.At first I picked the GF for because its so elegant

Then I look online at pictures of the Poly. Its so nice!

They are both so nice in different ways

Opinions please:yay:

First off, can you share your nana?!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Secondly

I would choose the polly if you like,

Swimming- It has a really nice pool

The Hawaiian Theme- It's everywhere and done very nicely. They even have a nightly luau

Good food- Tonga Toast is legendary (I haven't got the chance to try it yet though...)

I would choose the GF if you like,

Shopping- There seem to be alot more stores than usual here

Turn down service- With a chocolate on your pillow

Oprah-:rotfl: Not kidding, it's supposed to be her fav place to stay at WDW

They both have the monorail, great views of MK, nice atmosphere, character meals, beaches, you name it, they prolly both got it!

Personally though, I'd go with the Polly.:thumbsup2

Not only are they on the monorail, I believe both of them have boat services to MK. And the Poly is only a 4 minute walk to the TTC, which is quicker than getting on the monorail to the TTC and then hopping on the Epcot monorail.

::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: You're right!

Also the Polly is prefered to 2 out of every 3 WDW bus drivers.:goodvibes

Ahaha, that's funny.
The only place I find it's impossible to get to and from, is DTD. I don't know if it's like that at every resort, but I remember waiting forever to get to DTD from the Poly.

Yeah, that's pretty much every resort, except for Port Orleans Riverside, they have a water shuttle while everyone else is stranded at the bus stop....

I remember being stranded at OKW xD
We went to DTD, and then decided to check out a couple of hotels and we tried OKW first.
And we waited forever, alone (like seriously the resort was dead that day) for like ever for a bus to come.
We were Disney amateurs back then though.

Never stayed at either.
But GF looks gorgeous. Their decor is way my style. But it might be too high class for my WDW vacation.

Poly also looks nice. Everything looks so fun there.

=]

My mom got married at the poly and we had dinner at GF.

Poly is better, in my opinion, but you'll never be treated better than when you get out of the back of a limo at the GF. People are falling all over themselves to get you whatever you want. ;) (and no, I wasn't with my mom when this happened)

Polynesian if u dont want to deal with the snobby people but Grand Floridian id u have massive ammounts of money and are snobby ureself. But personaly i like the Poly because of there pools and decor

i've went inside like to just look and see and the people definitly didnt seem snobby

(sorry im not good at spelling delinitly)
