Just got a great AP rate for a lodge tower room at GF for Feb 5! I'm so excited, we have never stayed at the GF and are taking my Mom on her first "on property" Disney trip! Any info on how big these rooms are....any certain requests I should make for room location, floor? Anybody have any pics? Please help! :cool1: :cool1:

We had the lodge tower room on the 4th floor of Sago Cay and it had a nice view of the marina with a partial view of the lagoon and Space Mountain. :)

I have pictures... just email me if you want to see them: ekmurphy12@aol.com

:)

roozlilone - congratulations on getting a discount on that room. I tried for late October and wasn't able to get a AAA rate on it for that time. Do you mind if I ask what your AP rate is?

TigrLvsPooh - there are two tv's in a lodge tower room right? Did it seem much more spacious than a regular GF room?

Thanks :)

The AP rate is $340 per room! I've been trying to get a room for two weeks and they have been SOLD out! So I was thrilled to get anything! Does anyone know if all the lodge tower rooms have balconies? Do they have a daybed? I can't believe I'll be there in less than a month!!!!! :flower:

That's a great rate - I was quoted over $200 more per night for rack in regular season (with tax)! Have a wonderful time :)

Ok, I am going to ask a stupid question...is the main building at the GF the tower and the other buildings are lodges?

Yes, the lodge tower rooms have two TVs. One in the bedroom and one in the little sitting room. The bedroom and bathroom are exactly the same size and same layout as the standard room, you just get the added sitting room for more space. It contains a small loveseat, coffee table, tv, and two chairs with a small table where two people could eat. Only lodge tower rooms on the second, third, and fourth floors have balconies. They are long and skinny. Here is a link to my trip report:

You'll notice the crib on the far left between the TV and the wall, then our two year old slept on the small loveseat with a bedrail.

goofyandmore - The lodge tower rooms are not located in the main building. They are located in the lodge buildings. There is one lodge tower room on each floor of each lodge building. :)

thanks for the response. I didn't know there was this different room. Is it difficult to request or obtain when making reservations?

It probably depends on the time of year. We didn't have any trouble booking it, but it was mid-October which usually isn't super busy. Plus I don't think many people know what they are.
