We have a garden view room booked at the GF in December. We would like a nice view, but also want to be close to the main building and pool. Any suggestions on what to request? It will be me, my mom, and my 20 month old.

Just got back yesterday from GF. It was our first time staying there. We were in Boca Chica, 4th floor. Even # rooms overlook the main pool which is open 24 hrs. It was very close to everything, the main building and the shuttle boat from MK. We absolutely loved it!

Enjoy your trip!

I'll second Boca Chica on location. We stayed there in July, albeit on the lagoon side, but it is a very nice location!!!

I'll third Boca Chica. We loved our GV location in May. 1st floor near the entrance.

Do you just call disney reservations and make your building request or do you fax 4 days prior to arrival. I have read some places you can fax and then others say they ignore them. Anyone have any advice.

Sorry I wanted to also ask what is the decor Boca Chica. I know Big Pine Key is Alice and wonderland but not sure or Boca Chica

posting again, I think of stuff after I hit send. Sorry, I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of GF guest rooms to share.

Thanks for the great info! I actually think my little guy would be in heaven with a view of the monorail! He is a train freak! Are there any good locations to request for a monorail view?

Boca Chica's has the floral theme, and ti's beautiful. Just call CRO or your TA and nave this request added to your reservation. A lot of the resorts have stopped honoring faxed requests.

I vote for Sago Cay marina view. It's quiet and right next to Gasparilla's and the marine viewing for fireworks can't be beat!

Does the floral theme have any disney characters along with it?

No.

Does anyone have info about the tower rooms, do they have balconies?
I guess you're asking about the lodge tower rooms. They do have a balcony, off to the side of the sitting area. Personally, for the extra money, you're better off booking a lagoon view room, all the lodge tower rooms have garden view rooms. They also only sleep 4, so if you need room for 5 or three beds (we do because DD and DS won't share a bed) that rules out those rooms.

THank you so much for sharing pictures, Is that a crib I see sitting next to the table? I stayed at WL and they had pack n plays but does the GF actually have cribs? Thank you again.

We had a crib at GF in Dec01. I would call it a 2/3 to 3/4 crib, as it wasn't near as big as our at home crib. But it was more crib than pack 'n play (they do have those too though).
