Our oldest ds will be going on the Pirate Cruise from 9:30 - 11:30, so we need to find something to do with our 2.5 yr old twins while he is cruising. I've never been to WDW and I'm kind of at a loss. The usual suggestions of spa or shopping aren't going to work with the little ones. I would play on the beach with them, but keeping them out of the water would be a meltdown-inducer. Any other ideas?

The only thing I've thought of is to make a PS at 1900 Park Faire for the character breakfast, but dh isn't enthusiastic. Would we have enough time to get to MK and have the boys' hair cut at the barber shop? It will be a Weds. in mid-Sept. so I'm not sure how busy it will be.

One of you take DS on pirate cruise while the other makes their way over to MK to get in line for haircut. Once DS is on board have the other make his/her way over to MK. Wait to have the boys hair cut until both parents are there (my BF has twins; haircuts require two sometime three sets of hands). I think that should give you enough time to get back as long as transportation goes smoothly.

I would probably opt for the character breakfast. Much less craziness, but if DH isn't into it than try the haircut. Just make at least one of you leave the barber about 45 minutes before you need to be back at GF- just in case.

After the cruise what are you doing- going to MK? If so just have one person go back and get DS. That way it won't be as hectic.

I would work on DH for the character breakfast, much more fun for all involved, and no stress about getting back to collect the eldest son in time

If you're looking for a non-park idea how about going to Fort Wilderness to see the animals? You can monorail to MK and then catch the boat to Fort Wilderness. The monorail and boat ride alone would be fun for your little ones.

I too vote for the character meal at the GF. With comute time at WDW sometimes a little iffy, I would be more stressed about getting back to pick up your older child. If the character meals is a no go, i might would try playing on the beach, perhaps with a few beach toys, the water would be a little less tempting. Another idea would be to find the playground at GF. I think all resort have a least a small one, and let the twins runs off some steam . Perhaps the would tolerate at least a little time ridding around the resort in their stroller. Maybe just a ride around the monorail loop with out getting off would be fun too.

If you are going during a non busy time, I would ask if you can use the pool. If it's morning and most people at the parks and it's not too busy they may say yes. You are already paying for a pirate's cruise. You shouldn't have to dish out money for a character breakfast or spa treatment. If they say no, take the kids to the MK, but be sure that one of you will be there on time to pick him up.
