Does anyone know where I can find links to the spa menus for the Grand Floridian and Coronado Springs? Do we make arangements for treatments in the same manner as priority seatings?

Thanks!

Here is the website for the spa's/fitness centers, www.relaxedyet.com. You'll find a link for the GF and the available treatments at CS will be listed under the "fitness centers" link. The GF and SSR offer full service spas with additional options. You can call them directly and make your appointment.

Thank you! Are there any treatments which you particularly recommend?

I'm partial to facials myself. I just find them really relaxing. My DH loves the massages. I've done the deluxe and aromatherapy facial at the GF. Both were wonderful, but I think if I had to chose, I would go with the deluxe. I loved the hand and foot massage that went along with it. I really would recommend going to the GF or SSR if neither is going to be to out of the way for you. Being full service, they offer a separate lounge area, one for men and one for women. You'll have a private area with couches, chairs, soft music, cold drinks, a sauna room, steam room and whirlpool. You can't help but be relaxed there. I've always thought the water therapies like the secret garden would be nice too. Good to do after a day in the parks. I haven't done any of the body wraps at the GF, but I did do the algae wrap on a recent Disney cruise. Although the technicians make it as comfortable for you as possible, you can't be modest for one of those treatments.

Have any of you taken your daughters? I have a 9yo DD who I'd love to take for one of the 'starter' treatments.

Yes my daughter has had the mini facial, manicure and pedicure. I would stick with just the manicure and/or pedicure at that age. The facial was more instructional on good skin care, plus it was done in a treatment room. The manicure & pedicure are done in a more open, bright room. Your DD might be more comfortable with that and you could sit alongside her having your nails done.

As I mentioned, the lounges are same sex, so there is one for the men and one for the women. For any treatment, you're escorted back there and given a bathrobe, slippers and a locker key. The lockers and changing area are kind of separate, but still open. Your DD might be exposed to some nudity while women are changing. Just wanted you to be aware.

Thanks - all good info! I'm certainly not a prude about walking around half dressed, but I don't know how DD would feel about others! I guess I'll have to ask her... she loves getting her nails done when I do, and was just asking about me getting Clinique for her when I got mine last time. She really wants to get into the 'skin care' regimen. I'm wondering if the facial might be too much, though... was it gentle?

Yes it was gentle, they use Jurlique brand items. My DD brought home the foaming cleanser as a gift. I don't know if they still do that. I think that my DD just felt a bit uncomfortable being in the treatment room. They're small, with soft music and candles. Very relaxing for us, but can be intimidating for a young first timer. I know she didn't want to be undressed under her bathrobe, so she wore her bathing suit. When we go back, she always has me book the manicure and pedicure, so I know she loves those. If it's something your daughter is interested in though, she may be comfortable knowing what to expect.

We have a reservation in April for a massage at the GF - they were very helpful on the phone - I will also be taking my DD (15) she is have a manicure, pedicure and facial - at that age she was uncomfortable about not having clothes on - I think her response was something like "OMG - what do you mean naked - I can't be naked - what are you crazy..." hence she gets the facial instead!!!!
