GF: Character Couture & Photopass

Last year we had the magical experience of high tea at the Garden View Tea room, followed by a magical Character Couture at the Ivy Trellis salon. While our stylist was willing to take a few photos for our us, the Photopass desk refused to take a single picture or call someone with a camera. Instead, we were sent to the park, where it was raining. Sadly the hair and makeup didn't survive the rain.

We're going to try again this year so, here are my questions:

Is there anyway to get a Photopass photographer at GF to take a few photos?
If not, is there any reason why I couldn't hire a local photographer?

No, photopass does not come there.
You can hire your own photographer but I would not. Why not just take them yourself. It's way too small to bring in another body in there

Right, but what about outside, posing on the stairs or around the lobby of the GF? It seems odd to spend literally $100 on hair and makeup and Disney doesn't have a way for me to take photos afterwards.

Oh, then yeah you can hire a photographer for there.
But no photopass photograhers working there. It's not included or a part of the service. The issue is they are not scheduled to work at GF. I guess I didn't find it odd. Never struck me to want one, I like it so much more than BBB, where we would get photos that I'd much rather give up photos to get a better make over
If you lucked out to plan your visit during one of the Holiday times when they have one there then you may get them to do some photos but that's it. They won't send one there just for you. That's now how the photopass system works.
