GF Cake, help please :0)

Hi,
I was originally going to order cindy's slipper and dog bones for me and hubby's anniversary dinner at Narcosse's...but I had read something about a cake available at GF. Can anyone help, I had read the 3 different options, but does anyone have pics?? How big are they?? Hubby and I are celebrating our 5th anniversary at WDW in less than 2 weeks. We were going to get married down there, but not all of my family would have been able to make it..so instead we are doing a vow renewal in a couple of years. Anyways, I think the cake would be great, but would like to see some pics and get an idea on size. Thanks for your help!!!

Last October was my husband's birthday. I ordered a cake from the GF bakery large enough for 4 people. I think there were pixs on this site. Maybe the search will find them. I watched the Travel Channel show on the WDW Weddings, saw the cakes and read here that they would make one for Disney Guests. They wanted quite alot of $ to deliver it to the BCV, so my sons drove over and picked it up at the front desk. It was great, chocolate cake, whipped cream filling with strawberries and choc ganache icing. I picked that over the phone, so I am sure you could order anything you want. Hope this helps.

I am sure Disney can pretty much do anything you want.

For our Disney Wedding last November, we had the mini-cakes that were featured on the Food Network special. This is not something we had originally planned - but Disney was kind enough to do when they asked us to take part in the special only about a month before our wedding.

They were delicious and adorable - but from what I've read on this board, they are also quite expensive. I believe Disney charges $25 for the mini castle cakes. I was a bit shocked - since we could never have afforded this had we actually paid for them. But I think for a special occasion they would be very special.

Amazingly enough, despite all the cake we had, at the actual wedding, we never got a slice of the cake I wanted most - chocolate cake with chocolate peanut butter mousse. When we went back to Disney a few months later, our Event Manager (an amazing CM) surprised us with a replica of our cake topper. This might be something to consider for an anniversary trip. I am sure you could send a picture to the GF Bakery and they could replicate it.
