GF Cafe orKona Cafe

Hi, we are planning a 4 night Disney trip followed by a 4 night RCI cruise. We will be staying at the GF and will be doing quick breakfasts in room before parks, but on checkout day we would like a nice sit down breakfast before heading out for cruise. We are wondering if we should chose Kona, it’s a favorite or trying GF Cafe which we have eaten at but it’s been several years.

Kona is one of our Must Do's - we've never had a bad breakfast here. I've had dinner Grand Floridian Cafe and it was one of the best meals on our last trip so I'd be willing to try them for breakfast too.

If you have the time in the morning to walk over to Poly for breakfast then I would do that ( over taking the monorail ). The walk is pleasant and not overly long at a moderate pace.

I like GF Cafe for breakfast. It's a brunch menu, so they have lots of options if you don't want a traditional breakfast.

Never eaten at GF Cafe but do know that Kona serves an enjoyable breakfast.
Either venue sounds like a relaxing yet focused departure day meal.

I love them both but I love the atmosphere at GFC much better and would love to end my trip there, which I am actually considering doing

I am in the minority but we have tried Kona Cafe twice and were underwhelmed both times. By contrast, we have always loved GF Cafe - I think you made the right choice!

Sounds like you have dined at both and we have found both to be good for breakfast. Depending on the time of year you may be able to change your ADR, but always to pick the one you definitely want to dine at as last minute changes are situational. I also think picking GF Café has good potential to make your dining more relaxed as you are staying at the GF too, so you remove the time constraints of traveling to the PR and returning back to the GF.
