Hi all

Just wondering if anyone knows of an easier way to make our wedding reception meal reservation at GF cafe..,,

We have tried to call disney dining, they say they cant book it as there are 16 of us....we have tried to book ourselves online but it only lets you book up to 12.....we have called GF cafe direct several times, no answer, left a message and got no call back.

I understand they cant guarantee large parties will be sat together but i would atleast like to speak to someone - besides DFTW - about making a reservation .

Any help would be much appreciated

You need to speak with someone about large group reservations... I think it's just called "group dining", but not positive. We made reservations as large as 43. Call the regular dining line and ask to be connected to group dining.

Hi again

So i tried calling the group dining number and i still got the same "we cant book GF Cafe for that number of people, we would have to do it as 2 seperate bookings meaning you wouldnt be sat together". So they then gave me GF cafe's direct number AGAIN to which i get no answer AGAIN.

I am beginning to lose the plot, we have been passed from person to person to person with still no joy. Is this perhaps to try and force your arm into booking it through DFTW?? Surely there is somebody that can book this for us!

Frustrated and confused!!

Hi again sweetie
This whole 'cannot sit together' thing was the reason we turned our attention from the GF Cafe to Citrico's when planning our VR reception meal.
Whilst many restaurants at WDW will tell you that they cannot guarantee that large parties will be sat together, Citrico's seemed happy to assure us that we would.
Have you tried e-mailing the manager. When we were planning the manager of the GF was (I think) called Lindsey (not sure if this was a male or a female Lindsey) and was very helpful indeed (apart from the seating issue). The managers at WDW restaurants move around quite frequently, but I am sure Lindsey would know who to contact for the GF cafe now, if he/she has moved on.

Very frustrating, i didnt think GF Cafe would get that busy and with it being a large place you would think they could accomodate!

They are required to tell you that you might not be able to sit together—all the Disney restaurants are. I don't know how often that actually happens, though. Usually you hear that it was no big deal, everyone was together... They just don't want to have irate customers insisting that they'd been told their party of X size was all going to be together.
