GF Breakfast - The Wave or Contempo Cafe?

We are staying at CR next month and since our last visit in December we have learned that DS has a wheat and treenut allergy. Our normal quick bagel or danish in the room is no longer an option for breakfast. DS9 does not like the Udi's bagels that are offered at the Contempo Cafe, and I spoil him at home with fresh GF pancakes (Bob's Red Mill) every morning. DD7 is also GF now and she doesn't like pancakes, bagels, etc, so I have two picky eaters. Am I better spending the money and going into The Wave in the mornings so we can work with a chef to find something for each of them to eat, or will I be okay at the Contempo Cafe?

We are also thinking we can sneak over to Babycakes in DD and grab some things for a quick breakfast.

Any suggestions/advice are extremely welcome!!!

I've always found the Wave very knowledgable about their menu, ingredients, etc. Can't imagine that they couldn't accommodate your family--and you can get regular bagels also!

I would stop in at the Contempo Cafe and ask the manager if they can make (or get from Chef Mickey's) the allergy free Mickey Waffles at breakfast time. They're good! I suspect they can, but I've never done it before. We stay at BLT and eat at Contempo a lot, but usually eat breakfast in the rooom. They're really good with allergies and would also be able to safely prepare eggs, bacon, fruit, etc... Most resort CS places offer the safe waffles from what I hear here.

Thank you both for the info! The waffles are homemade right? My kids don't like the frozen ones at all.

A few places serve Van's waffles, but I know Chef Mickey's and most resorts serve fresh made Mickey waffles from a batter that is free of the top 8. They are quite good, even if you aren't accustomed to gluten free, allergy-friendly food.
