GF Afternoon Tea fill you up enough?

I was thinking of doing the afternoon tea the day we do MVMCP, will it fill us up enough that we will not be hungry for dinner or should I plan the afternoon tea for another day?

You will be fairly full for awhile. I'd plan on having a late dinner or some type of heavy snack in the evening. I don't think it will "replace" your dinner.

I did the Grand Tea the main one they offer that comes with everything including Champagne. DH felt badly out of place, so he only had a pot of tea. They do give you I believe it was 4 small like tiny tea sandwichs, a scone with devonshire cream, and jam, a tiny jam tart, and your choice of strawberry triffle, I think it was strawberries and cream, or a choice of 2 pasteries. The pasteries are the ones I chose, and honestly werent all that big. I think if you're going with 2-3 people you probably could just share the tea nibbles, and just let them order the teas they liked from the tea box. I would do this tea again maybe next time with a close friend, but not sure if i would make DH do it again since he felt extremely out of place. Was only 2 older gentlemen there the whole time we were there with their wives. I seriously wouldnt feel this would replace dinner as it's just small petite things they serve along with your tea.

Depends on what you order. I usually order a plate of cheese and tea so obviously not enough to cover me the rest of the day =) You could also order one of the big meals with sandwiches, fruit, pastries, and tea and probably feel full most of the day depending upon your appetite and if you grab popcorn and a mickey bar later that night.

It completely depends on what you order and how much it takes to fill you up. It's not meant to be a meal but instead afternoon tea.

It really is more of a lunch than say dinner. I have had better high tea food elsewhere (though the GF tea food was good just not excellent IMHO) but you can't beat the beautiful atmosphere.

Tea is yummy, but I still want dinner later. I wouldn't schedule a huge buffet dinner, but something.

I can tell you that it didn't feel up our guys! But all we did was have scones because we wanted to be hungry for Ohanna's that night.

with drinking the entire pot of tea myself, along with the tea sandwiches, scone, devonshire cream, and 2 pastries, i was quite full for the afternoon (by dinner, i was ready to eat again, but it made a nice lunch)
