Geyser Point vs Three Bridges

I need to start by saying I love 3B - the burger and paprika fries were about the best I’ve ever had. I’ve been craving it since I had it. My current plan is to stay at my resort - POFQ on arrival day and go to 3B for dinner.

However, I badly wanted to try GP in November, and I just couldn’t fit it in. I’m dreaming of that waterfront location, and the burger sounds sooo good (and I love pie). I’m thinking how magical it would be to have a late dinner there, watching the fireworks, as a welcome back to WDW.

Which would you guys do? Oh, and for anyone who has been there recently, what is the seasonal pie?

You really can't go wrong with either one but I agree, sit at GP and watch the FWs.

If you've done Three Bridges then try Geyser Point! I love both and you honestly can't go wrong. Love entering WL through the lobby then meandering through the courtyard to Geyser Point. The fireworks are also a bonus! The Bison burger is good (not as good a Three Bridges burger). Highly recommend the crab cakes and the cheese brisket. They also had a special chicken sandwich when I was there (also very good).

Ooh, that could work; although I wouldn’t get to try the GP burger, I assume the seasonal pie is yummy !

Long ago, I had dinner at WL - it’s stunning; I’d love to see it again.

The crab cake sounds yummy (so does the brisket, but I can’t imagine getting that and the burger). I did read on this board about the special menu items...

No. They do not take reservations. You can get on the walk up wait list on the app though. It's usually not that long of a wait, and in the meantime you can grab a drink at Territory Lounge which is a lovely space as well.

One other plus for GP is you can catch the Electric Water Pageant if you time it right. It usually comes by around 9:30 PM. It's short, but it always makes me smile. Though when we were there in Dec, only half of the barges were running and they'd cut out a part. Supposedly they were working on some of the barges. Hopefully the full parade comes back soon - if it hasn't already.

I love both too, but for different reasons.

GP is more like an extended pool bar with some tables, very limited menu.

I found TB to be more of an “adult,” full experience, more immersive theming and beautiful decor. There’s a much better cocktail program at TB, and it feels more like a destination in the middle of the lake, with a much more sophisticated vibe.

I agree with the above post that the Three Bridges burger is better. I don't recall having tried the seasonal pie, but the stop at GP will be worth it just for the view.

Whichever you choose, know that after the sun sets, there’s not much to look at from either location, though an argument could be made for the lighted buildings at CSR from TB. Apart from far distant fireworks, many obscured by trees, you’ll be looking at pretty much pitch blackness from GP.

It depends on the MK firework schedule - check the app to be sure. Keep in mind, while you can definitely see the fireworks, it's a high view over the trees. This isn't like sitting on the beach at the Poly or a theme park view room at the Contemporary. Still, it is a lovely way to end the night. We stay at Wilderness Lodge a lot as our DVC home resort is Copper Creek and we adore eating and hanging out at GP. We love the views - it's like not even being at a theme park - so peaceful. And if you go for lunch, it's rarely crowded (hint: it's just a short, lovely boat ride from MK if you need a break mid-day).

As for the burger debate, I think both of them are good, with maybe giving the nod to Three Bridges by a tiny bit. The food options in general are definitely better at TB over GP as well. But what GP does have, is usually really good. One thing that I really liked about TB over GP was the drinks. GP's cocktails are basically your typical fruity, sweet pool bar drinks. A lot of people love that, but they aren't our thing and the wine and beer selection is limited. TB has some really interesting wines, fun cocktails and some really good sangria.

The night we went to TB was rainy and miserable, the day before Nicole, so to be honest, I didn’t get to really enjoy the decor and setting. It is stunning, though, and I imagine it would be even more so in May than in November…

I don’t mind the casualness or setting of GP, though …

I’m trying to do things at a more relaxed pace, so things like the view are more meaningful to me than they’d ordinarily be…
