We're staying at WL for a short pre-cruise stay in about a week. On our MK day, we're going to come back for a swim and dinner at GP, then heading back to MK in the evening. If we want a water-side table for 4 at dinner, how early should we arrive? Is there usually a long wait at dinner? Can you put your name in ahead of time? Thanks!

GP does not take reservations. You can either walk up and put your name on the list or join the list via the app. We've waited as little as 10 minutes and as long as an hour for dinner. I will say that CM's have advised us that the time estimate on the app is not accurate and that you'll get a better idea of the wait time if you get on the list in person. As for getting a water side table, that's pretty hit or miss and something we've never asked for. You can see the water from pretty much anywhere in there except maybe a few tables right there in front where the bar might somewhat block your view.

All that being said, the earlier you go the better if you are in a rush. We rarely, if ever, have to wait when we go for lunch or in the afternoon. But it can definitely get slammed at night. If you're going to be at the pool anyway, just keep an eye out on how busy it looks.

Good info above.
I think you should be fine at 4:00 PM with no to a little wait.

We visit GP more often at lunch than dinner. If you arrive around 4, I think you should be okay. We often get a water-view table, but it seems to be the luck of the draw. It is pretty popular in the evening with good reason; the ambience is terrific. :goodvibes

The wait usually isn't bad. Get there by 5 if you want to make sure there are lakeside tables available.

Hope you don’t mind me tagging on to your question instead of starting a new thread…

Question about evenings at GP.
We were thinking of leaving MK early (about 3ish) on a party day in September and having dinner at Story Book Dining.

But before dinner we’re thinking to look around the resort and have drinks at TT then dinner around 6.
Then after dinner drinks at GP and watch the EWP.

Will it be hard to get a seat at GP later like that? Or is there a better place for watching the EWP?

TIA 🙂

It’s always hit or miss later in the evening, but I’ve never had issues around 4 which is typically the time I’ve always eaten at GP and secured a table in the water.
