We are staying at Pop Century. On our first day we are going to visit Downtown Disney & then will dine at Whisper Canyon. I want to go back to the room & freshen up before dinner, but I'm unsure of the best way to get from Pop Century to Whisper Canyon. I don't want to miss our ADR.

Also, on our 3rd day we are going to Animal Kingdom & then Boma. I would like to clean up before dinner, but once again what will be our fastest way to get to Boma from Pop Century. Should I just give up & go straight from Animal Kingdom to AKL for dinner? :confused3

the absolute most fastest way to either of the resorts would be taxi from pop. otherwise, you would have to either go to downtown disney and take the resort bus or go to any park and do the same. by doing either of those, you should allow a good hour for waiting, etc. enjoy your meals!

Personally, forget the freshening up. Sorry I do not mean to offend but it will same time and the hassle. When you are at Downtown Disney, you can take the bus to Wilderness Lodge and Whispering Canyon is to the left when you walk in the lobby. Enjoy we ate there last June and food and atmosphere were real good.

Same when you are at AK take the bus to the AKL and go to Boma's.

Of course you know yourself so you do what is most comfortable to you, after all it is a vacation, but I wouldn't want you to stress out. Enjoy!! :goodvibes

actually this was the one resort restaurant trip we really enjoyed getting to!!! Hop a bus to MK then you can take a boat to WL... the dock area is beautiful and the walk through the back is really nice... we had the boat to ourselves. Really nice:)

I love the idea of taking the boat to WL! I will see how DH like the idea! :Pinkbounc
I am trying to keep the trip as economical as possible, since we hope to make another trip ASAP and stay at AKL on the next trip. So I'll skip the taxi.

I may have to skip the freshening up in order to save time. Or...I may have to make DH lug around my hairbrush, deoderant & makeup all day so I can freshen up when we get over to the resort. :rotfl2: I'm sure they have a bathroom assessible where it will be cool enough to clean up a bit.

I hate the idea of sitting down to a nice meal & smelling sweaty. I opt for a ball cap at the parks, but I will NOT wear it to a restaurant so I must be able to brush out my hair & tie it back.

I, too, am crazy about being presentable, but I'll be honest. If it's hot and humid, you'll care the first day but then after that you really won't worry so much. And I wouldn't carry my make-up with me in the parks because it'll melt!

Pugcrazy, like you we are staying at Pop Century to economize and really want to stay at the AKL next trip.

If you've already visited the AKL you probably know this, but if you can get there a bit before your dining reservation you can probably find a good spot to unwind and freshen up. The resort has a gorgeous cool and slightly dark lobby area where you could relax for a bit after "spritzing" in the restroom. There's also a bar near Boma to get a drink, and if it's not too hot there are beautiful overlooks to watch the animals. We always try to get there early and take a creative pause before dining.

Thanks for the replies. We've gota little time before the next trip, but always in a planning stage.

Taxi is the way to go. We would take cabs to get to other resorts then use Disney transport coming back when time was less important.

Our last night of our trip in March, we took a taxi from BC to WL. Had a fun dinner at WCC then rode the boat into MK for emh. It was really nice, we watched fireworks and rode some rides. A great ending to our trip.

:sunny:
