Getting to Vero beach

If you fly into Orlando or West Palm Beach how do you get from the airport to the resort?

I used Uber once while flying into and out of Orlando. It was a long drive there, and pricey. Returning to the airport we found 1 driver available who said he regularly did the route. After that trip I‘ve always rented a car. It makes things much easier for airport transport and going into the area of town with shops and restaurants.

I rented a car at MCI, mainly because I needed to get down to Miami from Vero Beach for a baseball game. Renting a car makes the most sense regardless because of the distance.

Rental car for sure. You can also fly into Melbourne airport. Only a few flights a day, but super easy and 45 minutes from Vero.

In determining whether you should get a car, you also need to consider whether you intend to go anywhere other than the DVC resort. Other than a nearby small store and quick food place, the only things within several miles of the DVC resort are other private resorts. You need a car to go anywhere such as to do restaurants, shows, boat trips, or other things you can do in the area around Vero Beach.
