Getting to US from DL

So I posted this In the DL fourm It looks like by mistake. I was trying to find out what a genreal cost from takeing a taxi to US from DL and about how long It would take.

Heres a shuttle bus company that has trips from DL to US.

A taxi maybe cheaper if sharing with other people. The other option is to rent a car for just a day but you'd have to pay US parking ($10). Many DL area hotels have rental cars and there are a few rental car locations within walking distance of DL.

If driving after 8:30am on I-5 north it should take about 40 minutes. Returning in evening can be closer to 1 hour, just depends on what day. It's about 30 miles I believe.

I am wondering about the same information but I already have my Universal tickets so don't need them with the transportation....

The Grey Line bus is probably the cheapest option for one or two people even if you have your tickets. I think it's just over $20 per person R/T. If you have more in your party then a rental may wrok better even with the $10 parking.

I'm in the same boat as well trying to crunch numbers and fares.

I would rent a car, but only if there is a rental agency located in or near your hotel. You can usually find a mid-size or less than $30/day, so even with gas and parking, it's cheaper for a family of four to drive than take a bus.

If you took a taxi in rush hour traffic, I wouldn't be surprised if the cost was more than $75 each way. The 101 runs right along downtown and if you're planning on being at US for park opening on a weekday, I would budget 90 minutes to drive there, park, and be at the gate with tickets in hand.
