Getting to Universal Orlando from Disney-Uber or Shuttle?

I was originally planning on just taking an uber to/from Universal Orlando- were staying at Pop and only doing one Universal day- but I keep reading about this ride share shortage... Is this impacting people significantly right now? I'd be so upset if we went to book an Uber there and couldn't get one.

I see that Mears has a shuttle round trip which picks you up about 90 mins before opening- does that sound like a good choice? Anyone used that? Or do you think I'd be okay sticking with Uber?

Universal also has an add-on to their packages called Take 2 Transfer where they'll transport you to and from Disney resorts, so that's another option for you.

Pre-COVID, it was easy to get a cab at a Disney hotel. There usually was a line of them. Someone working in front of the hotel would wave one over. If there weren't any there, that person would call one. But I don't know if this has changed due to the Pandemic. I think the person who did this was a valet parking person, not a Bell Services person, so I don't know if that makes a difference. You could google the Mears taxi phone number and save that in your cell phone contacts in case you want to call them yourself. (I am speaking of a taxi, not of a shuttle run by the same company.)
