I also posted this over on the WISH event thread, but thought I might get an answer here first...

I am running the 1/2 with a friend, but our families both need to leave the day of the Marathon, and some options would have ME while others would not.

If I have to drive and leave one of the monorail resorts around 5 am will roads be open?

What about at 10 am from a monorail resort?

Will ME be running if we happen to get flights into and out of MCO?

Thanks!

I remember way back in Janurary 1999 my family and I were staying at the Wilderness Lodge and it just so happened that we realized our check-out day was on the same day as the Marathon. Well once we started driving out of the Wilderness Lodge around 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM I remember that WDW security was everywhere directing traffic and it was horrible. Basically we were following the cars in front of us and we were worried that we would miss our flight. Well instead of getting to I-4 the usually way by going down World Drive and etc, instead we went through the area past Fort Wilderness which eventually got us to Downtown Disney, so then we were able to get on I-4 from Lake Buena Vista/535.

Thanks! I was hoping there would be a way out, and just plan for more time. That said, think I will skip the 7:30 am departure from Lakeland!
