Getting TO the airport on Marathon Morning

So I am running the 1/2 with a friend, but our families both need to leave the day of the Marathon, and some options would have ME while others would not.

If I have to drive and leave one of the monorail resorts around 5 am will roads be open?

What about at 10 am from a monorail resort?

Will ME be running if we happen to get flights into and out of MCO?

A few years back we stayed at the Poly marathon weekend. Had to drive my son to the airport Sunday morning. We left the Poly at around 5-5:30am. Didn't have any issues getting off WDW property. Left Poly & went out past Wilderness Lodge & Fort Wilderness, then turned onto the street that goes past Port Orleans. Sorry don't remember the names of the streets off the top of my head, but if you look at a map you will see where I am talking about. If you are staying at GF or Contemporary it may take you a bit longer (although if you leave by 5am you may be ahead of the road closer) because they have one side of the road closed for the race & the other side alternates directions. I would just make sure to give yourself some extra time, just in case.

Leaving any of the monorail resorts will be ok at 5 AM. Likewise, the 10 AM leave time should be OK from all three monorail resorts.
